Week 2: June 11 - 18

So, l want to apologize for not responding last week to a lot of people!!! My bad!!
I felt super rushed!! So, this group email won't be as long as the first one!!

This week, hahaha, I got the siempres!! Which is diarrhea (Dad called it!) - for you english speaking folk!,) Haha it was awfull!! I told everyone that it came in waves. Those darn siempres!! Hahah funny joke, but also very true!!

Oh, so I am now an intermedio!! I'm not the newbie anymore. On Monday we had to say goodbye to all the Latinos, which made me really sad!!  There was this one named Elder Milla!! Hahaha he is so funny!  I gave him a cookie one night and every night after he would come to my room looking for a cookie!!  All he would say, in very broken English, is COOKIE???  Hahah he is a funny kid!!  He wanted to give me his pants to remember him by but I said,  "No, no, no, I will always remember you Elder Milla!!" Oh, he would also call me Elder Hildebrax  - haha.

Oh, if anyone wants to write me some cool quotes or Mother Teresa quotes - I would really like that!!  Haha, umm, my spanish is way better.  I can now read a full page in el libro de mormon!!  And understand most of it!! }

OH HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO THE PRETTIEST MOMMA OUT THERE!! Happy birthday mamma.  I love you!!

EVERYONE be happy.  Satan will try to get into your head and try to make you feel like crap.  That is not of God, it is of the devil!!  Put up a good fight, keep the faith and endure!!!

We get to go to the temple every p-day and I love it!!

Oh, also, the last night all the Latinos wanted to have a push competition!! Americans vs Latinos!! (4v4).  Haha, so, I was the last guy on the American team to push up and we were actually down by 15.  So, I had to get 75 to win!!  I did 101!!  GOOOOOO AMERICA, SHEA FOR THE WIN!!!

Okay, spanish phrase is: poco a poco mi entendio.

I AM NOT GOING TO GAIN WEIGHT!!!!  Haha, I have actually lost weight!!  I'm around 165 for those back in the states who are keeping track!!

On, Sunday we watched Ephriam's Rescue.  A part I really enjoyed was when they asked him,  "How do you do so many great things?" and he gave a simple response, ¨"I Try".  Just try!!  Go out and be the best person you can be!!  Love you all!!!

Week 1: June 2 - June 10

So this week has been crazy!! hahaha in a good and bad way!! My singles ward bishop would always tell me the mission would be the hardest thing in my life and I believed him but not really; but he was right, it is super hard.

So i got in at like 3 am my first night and I had to wait at the airport for like 2 hours by myself and wait for the other missionaries. I thought I was going to get abducted or something and dad would have to come save me!!! #Taken4 #TheLDSVersion hahaha

Well I woke up at 7 and went straight to work! My companion is Elder Wilstead and one of the first things he told me in our room after looking at the picture of our family was "IS that your sister?" "yeah" "Hook me up brutha" hahaha just like all my friends tell me!! He is 21 his dad is in the air force so he has lived all over and he lived for 7 years in Germany!! cool!! I really like him, but I have had to really be the bigger person most of the time!!

The first night we had a interview for to be district leader and my interview went super good!! The branch president stopped half way through and told me that Satan will try his hardest to get me!! He says he can feel it!! Kinda scary!! He told me that is because he knows that I will be a awesome missionary!

So elder Wilstead is actually our DL! He is good but kinda bad at being a leader! I felt like this is a test for me to learn how to follow rather then lead!! It is hard! Oh there is this kid name Elder Gurken, and at first I HATED ELDER GURKEN!!! oh geezz!! But I wasn't going to let Satan make me think that and now a week down Gurken is one of my favorite elders!! haha I love everyone here!! The Latin missionaries are super cool!! haha Every night they come into my room and want to arm wrestle me!! haha They called me the ripped missionary!! Oh I haven't gained a single pound!! We have a scale here so I can tell if I gain or lose weight!! THE FOOD HERE IS GOOD!! haha the rice is way good! Its kinda half white rice and Mexican rice and they have this hot sauce that I put on everything!! Dad would love it!! haha. And they have a vegetate bar that I love - it's my favorite food!! I eat like two whole plates every meal of vegetables!! haha

My Spanish..... I am the worst Spanish speaker here at the CCM!! I have had to really put my faith in the Lord!! And the other day I started to actually understand what they were saying in classes!!

Everyday we have breakfast, study, a 3 hour class, lunch, a computer learning thing for Spanish, PE, dinner, then class till the end of the day! Days have been going by faster now!!

I have been trying to follow the mission rules the best I can everyday and that sucks but also very helpful!! I really love the elders here!! I am super good friends with all of them!! We are all way, way different but they are all my good friends.

Every p-day we get to go to the temple!! Its cool! Really enjoyed going!! Everything is super cheap here! Like 3 dollars cheaper here then the USA! Like I bought a CTR ring for 4 dollars and in the states it would have been like 20!

Oh one thing, don't go preaching and telling other people how to live their lives and calling out there faults until everything in your life is perfect(which will be never!) That's one thing that I have learned here from other people here!

Last night was my favorite night!! We had a devotional instead of class and Elder Christofferson talked and then after the talk we went to our district classes and talked about what we thought about it.  I felt so peaceful and full of the spirit. Then towards the end I felt prompted to say that if anyone needs a blessing I, or any other the Elders, would love too!! After the lesson a Sister came to me and told me that she needed a blessing and felt like that was meant for her! So I gave her a blessing but before the blessing Elder Wilstead and I said a pray together and while I was praying I started to shake - Not in a bad way but as if something so powerful was coming into me and right when the blessing started I trembled cause of the shaking!! Like I had no control and it was the strongest I have ever felt the spirit!!

Well I love you all!!
